• Artifacts for Ryanne Mace from the Northern Illinois University Honors Program
  (1) Laminated poster with photograph of Ryanne in a heart reading, "In Memory of Ryanne Mace : Northern Illinois University : University Honors Program." Size: 18" wide by 24" tall. (2) White paper posters from Virginia Tech University Honors Program. Main poster reads, "Hokies for Huskies," with various messages, prayers and signatures on both posters. Quantity: 2. Size: 22' tall by 28" wide. (3) Card from the Student Honors Association at Western Illinois University. Front of card reads, "Deepest Sympathy," and has various messages and signatures inside. Size: 4.5" wide by 6.75" tall. (4) Card from Clarion University of Pennsylvania Honors Program. Front of card reads, "With Sympathy," and has various signatures inside. Size: 5" tall by 7" wide. (5) Letter from Shippensburg University Honors Student Organization in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania dated February 20, 2008. Signed by various people. Size: 8.5" wide by 11" tall. (6) Reprinting (2 pgs.) of article from the DeKalb Daily Chronicle titled, "Honors Program Loses One of Its Own," by David Fitzgerald of the Northwest Herald. Reads, "Ryanne E. Mace remembered," and contains biographical information and remembrances of Ryanne. Size: 8.5" wide by 11" tall. (7) Tan and white teddy bear with tag in ear and green/gold plaid bow around neck with the following items attached to it: a note from Mary, Seat of Wisdom grade school attached to a black plastic string with five beads (one red, four white) and a note reading "Hugs Across America" with picture of teddy bear with the inscription, "I am Here for You." Also has a black and red ribbon pinned to right arm. Size: 13" tall by 11" wide by 6" tall.
• Cards from the Russell Family of South Elgin, Illinois from Campus Memorials
  Small greeting cards with purple potted flower design on front. Cards were in small white envelopes addressed to the families of each victim. Inside is a condolence note and prayer. Small white stones were laid on top of cards to protect them from the wind. Only Ryanne and Daniel's cards have been opened, due to water damage. Quantity: (Cards) 5; (Stones) 5. Size: (Cards) 4" wide by 5.25" tall; (Stones) Smaller than 2" by 2" by 1".
• Card from the Sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha at Virginia Tech
  Large card made from maroon construction paper and tied together with orange ribbons. The front of the card reads "NIU" over a black ribbon. Inside and on the back are various messages, prayers and signatures. Main message inside reads: Hokies for Huskies: [Heart] the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha. Size: 12" tall by 12" wide.
• Banner from the University of Texas at Dallas Student Government
  Large, white paper banner reading: In Memory of the Students from Northern Illinois University and the tragedy last week: Our thoughts are with you: ~The Students at the University of Texas at Dallas. Various messages, prayers and signatures cover the banner. Some Spanish, Chinese, Sanskrit, Thai, and possibly more. Card included addressed to the Student Government of Northern Illinois University. Size: 36" tall by 128" long.
• Windsock and Card from Shadowlake Village in Blacksburg, Virginia
  Orange and maroon windsock reading on both sides: Hokies: VT. Various messages and signatures cover one side of the windsock. Card included reading: In Deepest Sympathy. Inside are more messages and signatures. Size: (Windsock) 12" tall by 21" long; (Card) 4.75" wide by 7.25" tall.
• Blanket from University Ministry at Dominican University
  White fleece blanket with blue and black border reading in blue: Embracing all in prayer...from Dominican University: River Forest, Illinois. Card included with picture of building on front and various messages, prayers and signatures inside. Main message in card reads: To the NIU Senate & Executive Board: Dominican University is thinking of you & here for you at this time: Please accept our condolences & support: Warm Regards: Meg Hoppe, DU SGA President. Size: (Blanket) 29" tall by 34.5" long; (Card) 5" tall by 7" wide.
• Prayer Shawl and Knitting from the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Cary United Methodist Church from NIU Day of Remembrance (One-Year Anniversary)
  (1) Red, white and black prayer shawl with tassels at both ends. There is a small, silver keychain attached to the red end and reads: Together We Can Make A Difference. At the black end are a card, a pamphlet, and a prayer pinned to the shawl. Card reads: Our gift of comfort [...]; also has a message of support / condolence note inside. Pamphlet explains the creation process and history of the shawls and Cary United Methodist Church. Prayer cites Pam DiValerio as the knitter of this particular shawl. Size: 16"-24" wide by 72" long. (2) Also created by the Prayer Shawl Ministry: Red, knitted cloth. Size: 5" by 6". Item were donated on the NIU Day of Remembrance, 2/14/2009.
• Cards from Indiana-Purdue University - Fort Wayne
  White poster-sized card with a black and white huskie dog on top of red "NIU" drawing on front. Inside (and on the outside of one) card are messages, prayers and signatures from students. Each card is signed at bottom: Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Size: 14" wide by 22" tall.

  Card with seashell print on front. Inside are a condolence note and a prayer to the NIU Community. Size: 4.25" wide by 6.25" tall.
