Paper Link Chain
Paper link chain made from red, black and white construction paper. "NIU" has been spelled in black and red at the middle. Size: 124" long. -
Quilt from Mary Chesnut
White quilt with gray pattern reading: Heartbroken. On the quilt are the following decorations: (1) five crosses in snow with each of the five victims names and a small fabric rose sewn onto them; (2) a tree with broken hearts on the branches; (3) a photograph of NIU Campus; (4) a map of northern Illinois with a bullseye on DeKalb; (5) a calendar of the month of February with a red ribbon pinned on the 14th; and (6) two messages of support (one being a Native American proverb). There is also a note sewn on the back explaining the significance of the quilt's creation. Size: 23.5" wide by 29.5" tall. -
Banners from Sycamore Middle School
Banner #1: Long red, white and black paper banner reading: Forward Together Forward. There is a large paper ribbon on the left side of the banner reading: NIU. At the center of the ribbon is a Cities of DeKalb and Sycamore poster with a huskie dog over a black ribbon logo. At the right edge the banner reads: SMS. Various messages, prayers and signatures cover the banner. Size: 49.5" tall by 138" long. Banner #2: Black paper banner with five red paw-print cutouts and two red cutouts reading: NIU. At the right is a white piece of paper with a huskie dog over black ribbon logo reading: Sycamore Middle School Students: Please take a moment to place your signature on our memorial banner [...]. Size: 33.75" tall by 36" long. Banner #3: Black paper banner shaped like a shield with an envelope reading: A Donation for NIU. Size: 20" wide by 21.5" tall. There are also two cutouts of the letters "I" and "U" that have either fallen off of banner or were never attached. -

Origami Cranes from Campus Memorials
Origami cranes made from a wide variety of paper - e.g. notebook paper, construction paper, origami paper, newspaper, etc. Three of them have black and red ribbons pinned to them and one is made from paper with huskie dog logos on it. There are also two black and red ribbons that are not attached to cranes at all. Also included is a pink paperclip reading: Tests. Quantity: 92. Size: Ranges from 1" to 8" wingspan.
