• Miniature Football Helmet, T-Shirt, and Other Artifacts from NIU Athletics
  All of the following items were on display at the 2/14 Memorial Center in the Holmes Student Center: (1) Small, black football helmet with Huskies logos on both sides and two stickers on back, one of an American flag, the other reading "Forward Together Forward." Size: 4.75" wide by 4.75" tall by 6.5" deep. (2) White T-shirt with three huskie dogs on front reading in black and red, "Leaders of the Pack." Back of shirt reads, also in black and red, "Forward Together Forward" with two paw prints. Size: Small. (3) Yordon Center media pass with picture of Huskies football helmet being held up by player. Pass is attached to black strap for hanging around neck. Front reads, "YC: Yordon Center: September 20, 2008," with [Sycamores logo] VS. [Huskies logo]. Back has regulations for using pass. Size: 3" wide by 5.5" tall. (4) Yordon Center parking permit. Front reads "2008 Huskie Football Parking: Y: Yordon Center: Pass #: 0042" with a Huskie Athletic Scholarship Fund logo at bottom. Back has stadium layout and parking information. Size: 3.75" wide by 9.25" tall. (5) Red and white sign that was on display with the items at the 2/14 Memorial Center. Size: 3" tall by 7" wide.
• American Flag from the United States Capitol
  Large American flag with certificate stating that the flag was flown, as a prayer for the NIU community, over the United States Capitol on April 2, 2008. Flag was on display in the 2/14 Memorial Center in the Holmes Student Center. Size: (flag) 35" tall by 63" long; (certificate) 8.5" tall by 11" long.
• American Flag from the Pentagon Force Protection Agency
  Large American flag with framed certificate stating that the flag was flown, for those who died 2-14-08 at NIU, over the Pentagon on March 20, 2008. Also included was a flag hand receipt stating who raised the flag on that date. Flag was on presentation in the 2/14 Memorial Center in the Holmes Student Center. Size: (flag) 35" tall by 63" long; (certificate in frame) 9.5" tall by 12" wide.
• Windsock and Card from Shadowlake Village in Blacksburg, Virginia
  Orange and maroon windsock reading on both sides: Hokies: VT. Various messages and signatures cover one side of the windsock. Card included reading: In Deepest Sympathy. Inside are more messages and signatures. Size: (Windsock) 12" tall by 21" long; (Card) 4.75" wide by 7.25" tall.
• Flag from Grand Valley State University Student Senate
  White vinyl flag with large GVSU symbol in blue and black reading: NIU: GVSU. Various messages, prayers and signatures cover the flag. Two brass ringlets on left edge suggest that this is a flag, though it could be seen as a banner. Size: 36.25" tall by 57" long.
• Poster from the University of Nebraska
  White glossy-paper poster with a picture of the University of Nebraska flag (red with a white 'N') at half mast in front of a cloudy sky. Poster reads: The students, faculty and staff of the Univerrsity of nebraska would like to extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the tragety at Northern Illinois University on February 14, 2008. Letter included to President John Peters from James B. Milliken (President). (Poster) Size: 13" wide by 19" tall; (letter) 8.5" wide by 11" tall.
• Banner from Mendota High School
  White paper banner reading in blue, yellow and red: To N.I.U. from Mendota H.S. Top-left corner has a drawing of an American flag with message in brown and green reading: Sgt Julianna Gehant: 1994 Mendota H.S. Grad. Various messages, prayers and signatures cover the banner. Size: 30" tall by 69.5" long.
• Wreath from Campus Memorials
  Wreath made of artificial green leaves with yellow ribbon, red-white-and-blue ribbon, and American-flags ribbon. Card attached to yellow ribbon with faded message/prayer. Placed at the NIU Veteran's Club flagpole on campus. Size: 20" diameter by 7" deep.
• Teddy Bear from Campus Memorials
  Red, white and blue American flag-patterned teddy bear with blue ribbon with white stars around neck. Tag still in ear reads: Patriotic Bear. Size: 8.5" tall.
• Teddy Bear from Campus Memorials
  Teddy bear in army camo Beanie Baby with American flag patch on right arm. Tag still in ear reads "Hero" with a prayer/poem. Size: 9" long.
