As an alum of NIU it's a hard time to fully reflect or dissect my feelings without getting completely emotional. And I say that because my grandma passed away the next day. So it's one of those things that, while it didn't directly affect me, it was the cherry on top of my world seeming to fall apart. It has made me realize that we are not in control of anything in our lives other than how we treat each other. And because of this realization, I always make sure to tell people close to me that I love them. For we do not know the day nor the hour...
