We are thrilled to announce a momentous occasion – the 50th anniversary of the Founders Memorial Library at Northern Illinois University (NIU)! For half a century, this iconic building has stood as a symbol of knowledge, discovery, and community on our campus. It has been a place of learning, exploration, and inspiration for generations of Huskies. With the ground breaking taking place in 1973 and the opening of the Founders Memorial Library in 1977, we feel it is important to recognize the half century of the Founders Memorial Library enriching and serving the Northern Illinois University students and faculty. We are inviting all alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and friends of NIU to join us in celebrating the rich history and enduring legacy of our beloved Founders Memorial Library.
